Cancellation Policy

Pick of the Pack Dog Walking Policy At Pick of the Pack, your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being are my top priorities. To ensure the best experience for both dogs and their humans, please review the following policies before booking: ✅ General Guidelines All dogs must be current on vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella recommended). Dogs must wear a secure collar or harness with proper ID tags during walks. I use positive reinforcement methods only — no harsh tools (prong, choke, or shock collars). Dogs must not show aggression that could put others at risk. If your pup has reactivity issues, please disclose this ahead of time so I can plan safe walking routes. ⏰ Scheduling & Availability Walks are booked in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. Packages (8, 12, or 20 walks/month) guarantee reserved time slots. Walk times may vary slightly (15–30 minutes) due to traffic, weather, or other pets on the schedule, but I’ll always keep you updated. 💵 Payments Payment for packages is due at the start of each month. Single walks must be paid for at booking. Accepted forms of payment: cash, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card (if applicable). 📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a walk. Same-day cancellations may be charged at 50% of the walk fee. Missed appointments without notice are charged in full. If I need to cancel (illness, emergency, weather), you’ll receive either a make-up walk or a credit toward your next package. 🌦️ Weather Policy Walks continue in light rain and cold, but may be shortened if conditions are unsafe (extreme heat, thunderstorms, icy sidewalks). In case of extreme weather, walks may be rescheduled or replaced with an indoor potty break/play session (if available). 🚨 Emergencies If your dog becomes ill or injured during a walk, I’ll contact you immediately. If urgent care is needed and you cannot be reached, I will take your dog to the nearest veterinarian. Owners are responsible for all veterinary costs. 🏠 Home Access & Security Clients must provide safe, reliable access (key, code, or other entry method). All keys/codes are kept secure and never labeled with personal information. I’ll ensure your home is locked and secure each time I leave. 🤝 Free Meet & Greet Every new client receives a complimentary meet & greet so we can discuss your dog’s needs, routine, and quirks before starting walks.
